May- The month of weddings

May was one busy month for Legacy Photography!  I had 3 weddings this month!  I don't know how that happened but it did!  Three beautiful weddings, 3 GORGEOUS brides, and a whole heck of a lot of pictures to look through and edit!

The first one was on May 9th.  Jennifer and Tom!   It was a beautiful day!  It threatened rain all day long, but thanks to the hot dog in the tree (i guess an old tradition... i'd never heard of it before either, but it worked)  it never rained a DROP!

Jen & Tom were so much fun to work with!  Jen was the sweetest, easy going bride...she just went with the flow and I think really enjoyed her day, she smiled the ENTIRE time.
Well, except when we had to BEG her to do some outside shots.  (Aren't you glad we convinced you Jen?  Those turned out so well!!)   The wind was RIDICULOUS!  I swear 50 mph gusts.  The ceremony was in a beautiful Catholic church and during the quietest times the wind would gust and blow through the doors making a loud moaning/whistling sound.  I could see her glancing at me with a look that said "there is no way we'll be able to take pictures out side!   My coaxing and begging prevailed (whew- i LOVE outdoor photos!)   We went to  a great garden/ park area with enough shelter from the wind to get some great shots!

I really enjoyed being a part of their special day!   Best of luck to you both Jen and Tom!
Here are a few of my favorite shots!

Jennifer and Tom Minda!
On the dance floor, first dance as husband and wife!

Ah,but the wind was just enough to get that "blowing veil" effect....

The bridal party was a lot of fun!

What a beautiful bride!!

My cousins in the Texas Bluebonnets

When i was visiting my family in Texas this past April I got to take a bunch (millions) of pictures of the Texas Bluebonnets...

I LOVE spring time in Texas.  For those of you who don't know, these flowers grow WILD everywhere... it's so amazing to see just fields and fields of them all over... mostly on the sides of Texas highways.  It makes me really miss Texas... that is until it's like 120 degrees there! haha.

My cousin Becky wanted a picture of her kids since she hadn't had one done in ages, so we found a GREAT field in Denton, Texas.  We tried to get her husband to come with too and do a picture of the whole family,  but he was a party pooper! (sorry Drew, had to call you out on that one... i don't take "no" lightly when it comes to getting pictures taken!  haha)
So anyway, here are a few of those.
I PROMISE to have this blog caught up to date here soon... :)
ENJOY!!!!

Brandon and Bailey Locklear

I just had to put this one of Bradyn and Bailey running through the field... so adorable!!

Beth is getting married!!

Still trying to become a blogger... here i go again!  I am determined to get caught up on posting some of my sessions over the past few months!
These pictures are from my session with Beth and Matt!  They are getting married on September 26th of this year.  I was so excited to take their engagement pictures!
Am i their wedding photographer?  No.  Why you ask?  Because I am a BRIDESMAID!  Whoo hoo!  Can't wait to actually relax and take part in a wedding... instead of being the photog!   Not that i mind that part one bit!  (wink!)  Beth has been one of my dearest friends since forever...(like first grade?)  I am so happy that she found Matt.  They are a fun couple that really has fun with each other!  So cool!  And it meant alot to me to take part in the process leading up to their big day!

Here are a few from the session on May 2nd in South Park!

This last one is my very favorite... I love the expressions!  Thanks guys for letting me take your pictures!!

The Arabia Boys- little sister is coming!!

I have known Melissa for pretty much all of her life!  She is my best friend's little sister and when she gave birth to twins in December of 2005 I begged to be her photographer!  (and won!!)  So-- naturally when I found out she was expecting a little girl this June, I just had visions of these cute little twin boys both kissing their mom's belly at the same time and "Oh how cute" that would be.... so i begged again.

Well-- it was a beautiful day and i had scheduled to do Beth and Matt's (this is her sister, my lifelong friend) engagement pictures on the same day at one of our lovely parks...so we decided instead of wrestling with them to get them to sit still in front of a backdrop, we would opt for corralling them at the playground.  TOO MUCH FUN!!

We had so much fun!  If you've ever even been around ONE three and a half year old energetic little boy let alone two, you would know that the best laid plans of getting them to do what you wanted them to do, don't always work....

I didn't get the boys to stop long enough to "kiss baby sister" at the same time... but got great memorable shots none the less!!
Enjoy a few of these from this session.

By the way, Missy (who literally is all belly... I like to joke that she just put a basketball in her shirt... she's just the cutest pregnant gal ever)  is due the end of this month... so newborn pictures will be coming soon!  CAN'T WAIT to meet her!!  Not as much as her little brothers though...

CALEB & CARTER ARABIA

Carter kissing lil sister....

Here's Caleb, but i love that Carter is blocking his ears so he doesn't have to listen to me begging him to go and kiss little sister at the same time... these kiddos are WAY too funny!

This is probably how the parents of toddler twins feel on most days...  (I love this shot of Carter)

Caleb... posing and not even realizing it!

Hanging with Dad by the lake...

Bear with me bloggers

Okay, so this spring has been INSANE for me!   I have been wanting to blog and get this rolling but it just has been on the back burner for the last few months!
I have many sessions that I will be posting in the next few days.   I have so much fun at each one!   I love to tell the stories because to me that's part of the experience of being a photographer: getting to know and interacting with your clients and being a part of their lives... SO-- stay tuned!  More to come ya'll!!!!
